Letter To Myself in 10 Years

Day 8!

Dear Rebekah, aka me,
this is you circa 2014, in case you forgot
Can you believe it is already 2024!! That is way crazy- and to think of all the things that are going on in your life now. For one thing you already have a nephew that is 11. 11!! Insane- and your other nephew/niece is now 9. And they haven't even been born. I'm sure at this point a few others have appeared- don't spoil them too much.. besides the fact that you may even have some of your own.

At this point you are 37. So weird to write. Perhaps married to that cutie you smiled at on the subway or just dating the businessman from down the hall. I would like to think that Sitter Select is exploding- you've expanded to other cities, state, countries? Are you still in NY or did you decide to move elsewhere- further south near some mountains and woods, or across the pond to London?

I'm sure you were a rockstar on your thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail- so much so you've already completed the PCT too, and maybe one across Scotland- I mean why not?

Life is pretty cool back here in 2014. We are preparing for Rach's wedding this weekend and another nugget from Mir. Sadie and Phoenix are enjoying the fall weather- I'm sure you miss them a lot. Any new furry friends? Did you finally get that little corgi and french bulldog puppy with a kitten and they are 3 best friends that anyone could have?  I sure dang hope so!!

Be off, I say- on to your future world. Get in that flying car and take it to the moon. I'm just crossing my fingers some crazy flu didn't hit the world and I'm actually still alive (this comes from currently reading The Stand by Stephen King- way to make me lose my mind!).

Give the future family lots of hugs and kisses!

Love, me.

  6. Ebola isn't freaking me out - yet, but this book I'm reading is about some superflu the govt. develops that kills 99.5% of the world population. Now that freaks me out!

  7. I'm not sure.. I hope I get to live in Europe or Britain again at some point in my life, and hopefully in the next 10 years. Wouldn't surprise me if I ended up overseas somehow, but who knows?

  8. No plans to move right away.. I'm planning on hiking the Appalachian Trail in the 2016 and think a move will probably happen when I'm finished with it, not sure where I will be moving to but we will see.
